Lieutenant Julia Clasby has been a police officer for 16 years and currently serves as the Operations Bureau Lieutenant for the Seal Beach Police Department, overseeing the patrol, investigations, and traffic divisions, the Canine and SWAT programs, and serving as Public Information Officer. Lt. Clasby holds a master’s degree from Cal State Long Beach in emergency services administration, and graduated from POST Command College Class 71 in February 2024. She is a police wife, full-time mother of three, and the highest-ranking female in the history the Seal Beach Police Department. In 2023, Lt. Clasby authored the nationally published op/ed "The Mother Cop Dilemma", and the overwhelming response in support of the important topic of retention of mothers in law enforcement has led to speaking invitations at state, national and international conferences.
Jamie Roush is the Chief Technology Officer of the Alpharetta (GA) Department of Public Safety (ADPS) and Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CRH Analysis Consulting, Inc., an organization devoted to assessing, implementing, and training technology, data, analysis, and the use of analysis in organizational health and operational decision-making for public safety organizations. Through CRH’s efforts, nationally and internationally, public safety agencies gain technology strategic direction and focus on making data an organizational asset through effective data governance and transformative, modern analytical processes, and techniques that support and guide all aspects of the organization. Ms. Roush has over twenty years of law enforcement experience and had an over ten-year career at the Jacksonville (FL) Sheriff’s Office (JSO). During her tenure she was responsible for transforming the JSO’s use of analysis by specific units to full use by the agency in support of its policing strategy to address crime and holistically for organizational effectiveness. It was during this transformation, Ms. Roush was instrumental in implementing the use of research and data to improve police operations. For her commitment to using research and data analysis to improve police operations while in Jacksonville, she was inducted into the George Mason University Center for Evidence-Based Crime Policy's Evidence-Based Policing Hall of Fame. Ms. Roush holds a Master of Science in Social Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from The Florida State University.
